Strathalbyn Netball Club

​The Strathalbyn Netball Club Inc is an Incorporated Association that provides opportunities for both junior and senior players, coaches, umpires and committee members to participate in a club with a caring, nurturing, inclusive and friendly environment. We are currently one of the largest clubs affiliated with the Great Southern Netball Association and are governed by the policies, procedures and codes of Netball SA and Netball Australia. The club had a humble beginning in 1926 as a single team, under the banner of the Strathalbyn Girls Sports Club where friendly matches were played on dirt courts. In 1937 the club commenced playing in its first organised competition when the Strathalbyn Basketball Association was formed. In 1948 our team played B Grade in the newly formed Hills Central Basketball Association where they continued to grow before being accepted as an affiliate member of the Great Southern Netball Association in 1980. We respect our history, the time and contribution of those who have been before us and value the sound foundation and opportunities they have provided for our current and future members.
